Q) How should I choose?

No website, e-mail or fancy brochure, can help you understand more about Championship Yacht Charters (CYC) than a simple one-to-one conversation with any of our sales event and cruise coordinators. With over 10 years experience in creating some of the most talked-about nautical celebrations in the Charlotte metro area, they can help you select your next private or corporate event. Q) What should I know about space?

CYC has a capacity of 150 people, including the Captain, Crew. So if you are planning to hold a wedding ceremony, a product introduction party with promotional displays, a meeting followed by dinner, a fundraising auction, a bar-mitzvah with various entertainers and children games, a fashion show, or other similar activities that might require additional space, our nautical event planners will be happy to suggest the most appropriate space based on the number of guests expected to attend, the type of activity you are planning.

Q) How much does it cost?

Minimum is 3 hours and cost $1500, which include the Captain & Crew for up to 150 people. This also includes all the cleaning during and after the event, so all you have to do is enjoy your event. Each hour after the 3 hours is $400. Extra cost for the Catered Food, entertainment, and bar host. Q) Can I view the yachts?


Making an appointment and visiting the yacht in person, is the first, and most important step you can make towards choosing the ideal event.

Q) How do I select the menu?

Whether you are planning a luncheon, brunch or dinner cruises, a corporate outing or a wedding reception, there are various menu selections to choose from: A-La-Carte Menus, Banquet Menus, Prix-Fixe Menus and Customized Menus. To help you select the most suitable menu for the type, budget and style of your upcoming event, call our nautical event planners:

Q) What type of service should I choose?

Whether you choose to have a cocktail style, buffet, formal buffet, the decision should be made prior to selecting the yacht.

Q) May I place a "hold" on a yacht?

You can place a temporary "hold" for a specific time and date, with no deposit required. The "hold" will automatically expire within two (2) weeks. Should another client require to book the same yacht, date and time you are holding, you will be given a 24-hour notice with the chance of the first refusal at which time, a $500 refundable deposit will be required to hold that date. An event contract must be signed to secure that date going forward.

Q) How do I check for availability?

Just call to check to see if that date and time is avaiable. Spring and Summer Weekends tend to get booked well in advance, so dont wait for the last minute. We also are very accomidating to last minute changes, so if your requested date is booked, we can put you on the wait list.

Q) How do I book a yacht?

To secure a specific date and time, you will be required to sign our yacht charter agreement and pay a non-refundable deposit. The balance of all fees is required per the contract. We are very flexible with our clients, and will accomidate your every needs, but we do understand things happen that may require a change of dates and time, so when in doubt, just call us.

Q) How do I pay a gratuity to the staff?

Gratuities are always appreciated, and never expected. We encourage our clients that if you feel the extra service that you received warrants a gratuity that you place that gratuity into an envelope with the CYC Coordinators name, and an envelope for the yacht's Maitr'ed, and one for the DJ/Band and present them on the day of your event.
